Azerbaijani Ambassador meets President of Jordan Senate

Azerbaijan`s Ambassador to Jordan Sabir Aghabayov has met President of the country`s Senate Abdelraouf al-Rawabdeh. They discussed various aspects of the Azerbaijan-Jordan relations.
Al-Rawabdeh hailed relations between the two countries as friendly and fraternal. He also praised relationship between the Jordan Senate and Azerbaijan`s Parliament. Touching upon the Azerbaijan-Jordan relations, Sabir Aghabayov noted that the two countries had signed nearly 40 agreements, and officials had paid reciprocal visits. The diplomat lauded the recognition of the Khojaly genocide by the Jordan Senate, describing it as a signal of strong friendly and fraternal relations between the two countries. The Ambassador also expressed hope that the newly established Friendship Group for Azerbaijan at the Jordan Senate would contribute to strengthening the bilateral ties. Aghabayov handed over a letter to Al-Rawabdeh inviting him the 2nd Global Shared Societies Forum to be held in Baku on April 27-29.
