Azerbaijani chairman of Parliament meets former speaker of Jordanian Senate
Chairman of the Azerbaijani Parliament Ogtay Asadov has today met former speaker of the Jordanian Senate Taher Masri who is attending the 3rd Baku International Humanitarian Forum.
Asadov hailed development of the Jordan-Azerbaijan relations and underlined the role of the meeting of the Jordanian King Abdullah II and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in strengthening cooperation between the two countries. He recalled visit of the Azerbaijani President to Jordan that featured signing a range of agreements on economic cooperation.
The sides underlined importance of organization mutual visits in enhancing commercial ties.
The Azerbaijani chairman expressed his gratitude for the statement against Khojaly genocide implemented by Armenia against the Azerbaijani people adopted by the Jordanian Senate.
In turn, the Jordanian representative expressed his country`s interest in enlarging relations with Azerbaijan.
